Proposal for Grant – Guardian Circles
Dear Members of the Selection Committee,
As a Black woman, Army Veteran, and tech entrepreneur, I am honored to submit this proposal for your Grant on behalf of Guardian Circles. We are requesting a funding investment of $10,000 to $50,000 to accelerate the development of our privacy-first personal safety mobile and web ecosystem.
Guardian Circles is not a conceptual idea; the core mobile and web architecture is currently in its final stages of production. Having engineered the foundational local-storage framework and real-time syncing capabilities, I have proven our technical viability. As a capable, execution-oriented Veteran founder, I am seeking this grant to serve as the final bridge to seamlessly launch our proactive screening tool and deploy a market-ready safety shield for women.
Guardian Circles was forged out of an operational necessity. Having spent my military career specializing in risk mitigation and logistics, I recognized a critical flaw in how safety is handled. Women are forced to leave their safety entirely to chance, or rely on mainstream apps that harvest, track, and monetize their precise location histories.
Guardian Circles changes this paradigm by offering a comprehensive safety network, complete with real-time SOS alerts, timed check-ins, and pin-guarded date plans. Where all sensitive user data is stored entirely, locally on the user's device.
With the support of your grant capital, we will implement an advanced, proactive safety layer allowing women to discreetly cross-reference public criminal registries before stepping into vulnerable situations. This converts Guardian Circles from a reactive emergency platform into a preventative shield that stops violence before it can occur.
Sincerely,
EL Edge, Founder of Guardian Circles
