Going My Way - Community Rideshare

At Guardian Circles, we believe you shouldn't have to choose between affordability and your peace of mind. That is why we are launching Going My Way, a dedicated, community driven carpool service built to connect verified members traveling the same routes.

We are not an on demand taxi service or a commercial rideshare. Going My Way is a digital bulletin board designed for mutual support, allowing drivers to share their empty seats, split the rising cost of fuel, and travel together in safety.
  • Driver Driven Itineraries: Drivers list trips they are already taking for their own personal commutes, errands, or weekend road trips. You simply choose location to browse active listings or post an itinerary.
  • No On Demand Hailing: There are no real time taxi requests or live driver matching algorithms. It is a true community board where matches are planned and approved in advance.
  • Zero Anonymity: Every user undergoes mandatory government ID verification, a biometric check and an automated sex offender registry cross reference before unlocking their Verified Badge.
  • Deep Safety Integration: Once a ride is scheduled, it automatically links to your Guardian Circles app. Your Trusted Circles receive your driver's profile, vehicle details, and a live safety countdown timer that triggers an SOS alert if you do not arrive on time.
To keep this feature completely independent of commercial taxi regulations, Guardian Circles does not charge transactional booking fees, and drivers do not operate for profit. Instead, we utilize a Split the Gas community model:
  • Gas Contributions: The app provides a non-mandatory, standard mileage calculation based on fuel costs for the trip. Passengers can choose to send a gas contribution directly to the driver via personal apps like Venmo or CashApp.
  • Community Safety Fund: Want to support a member? Users can donate directly to the Guardian Circles Mutual Fund. 100% of these donations go toward sponsoring gas, background verification fees for users and keeping our platform accessible and highly secure.

Guardian Circles provides this service for voluntary community carpooling only. Drivers are not employees or commercial operators. Always verify your driver’s identity before entering a vehicle.
