Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

How does The Exchange differ from standard online classified sites?

Standard local apps are flooded with fake accounts, ghost profiles, and bait and switch listings. The Exchange is built completely on discretion, accountability and verification. Every user listing an item must verify their account profile and upload a clear verification selfie before their classified post is approved.

What is the difference between Bartering and a Classified Sale?

Our flexible interface splits your intentions into two simple avenues:
  • Barter / Trade Post: You list what you have and explicitly specify what services, skills or items you are willing to accept instead of traditional currency.
  • Classified Sale Ad: You state a clear cash value price for your item and accept transactions directly through personal handles like Venmo, Cash App or cash in person.

What condition do I need to declare for my item?

To ensure complete transaction clarity, your item listing must map to one of our four clear tier markers: Unopened (Brand New In Box), New (No Box/Tags), Open But Never Worn/Used, or Old (Gently Used/Pre-owned).

Where do I handle payment routing or trade coordination?

All transactions are handled directly peer to peer. For classified ads, users route funding across their preferred banking institutions (such as Cash App or Venmo handles). For barters, trades are executed face to face in verified public environments.
